Most of my years in Thailand were spent in Chiang Mai.  I helped set up the Chiang Mai Aquatic Development Farm in Mae Taeng District about 1 hour North of Chiang Mai.  This tilapia farm has three sites now.  A wild color tilapia hatchery that employs 26 people and produces about 2 million one inch tilapia fry per month.  We also have a red tilapia hatchery that produces about 500,000 red tilapia fry per month as well as a network of nursery farmers that help the hatchery grow out 3 month old large fingerlings which mostly are sold to cage farmers in the Ping River south of Chiang Mai.  Proceeds from this

Another project that I have helped with is the AC Tilapia Farm in Roi Et, Northeastern Thailand.  They are a tilapia hatchery and fingerling producer for cage farmers in the rivers of Issaan area.
